Statera Energy has brought online the country’s largest battery energy storage system, marking a major step in Britain’s clean energy transition. The 300-megawatt Thurrock Storage facility, located just north of the former Tilbury coal station, is now delivering power to the grid, according to the company’s announcement on August 18.
