RGEC is a joint venture between PGEC and Japan’s Taisei Corp. The plant, officially inaugurated on April 24 in San Jose City, Nueva Ecija, uses over 29,000 solar panels from Trina Solar and 51 Huawei string inverters, with a nominal capacity of 300 kilowatts each.
The project is expected to generate about 29 gigawatt-hours of electricity annually, enough to supply around 30,000 households and displace an estimated 20,400 tons of carbon emissions per year. SJGEC filed for a Certificate of Compliance (COC) with the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) on April 15.
